GREENER GRASS

The grass always looks greener
When it's on the other side
But things quickly change
When you discover they've lied
That's not her real hair
The car he drives is a rental
He has how many kids
She's really not that gentle
They're both steeped in debt
But truly try to deceive
They've told so many lies
You don't know what to believe
Who am I referring to
The person you once dated
But if you married them
It gets complicated
Most marriages fail
Because they start with a lie
If they were to tell the truth
You might just pass them by
So they fabricate a life
In order to catch your eye
You're blinded by "love"
So you believe the lie
It really doesn't matter
Because you were lieing too
After all you wanted them
To be attracted to you
So now here you are
The truth has come to light
The cat is out of the bag
Should you run or stay and fight
You both need to stay
And change how you live
Despite the hurt and pain
God wants you to forgive
Consider this for a moment
As you look at your wedding ring
They wanted you so much
They were willing to do anything
Lieing is a sin
But being bitter is sinful too
But if you don't forgive them
God won't forgive you
But if you decide to leave
And find somebody new
They'll have their own set of issues
And you'll have to forgive them too
